Addept introduces its Advisory Board

Welcome to the first in our series introducing the members of the Addept Advisory Board.

Each member of the Board is an experienced and well-regarded insurance professional. As Non-Executive Directors they are playing an important role supporting the growth and future development of Addept.

Today we meet Helen Withers.

Helen has over 20 years in finance and senior management roles in the ancillary insurance market. She co-founded Arc Legal Assistance with Richard and led the business as Managing Director/CEO for 16 years. Previously, Helen, who qualified as a Chartered Accountant some 35 years ago, was Finance Director and then Managing Director of Capita Assistance’s Legal Expenses Insurance Division.

Helen said, “Having left Arc Legal following its sale to AmTrust, I am now involved in a number of different businesses in an advisory or mentoring capacity and as an angel investor, particularly focussing on entrepreneurial startups.”

Talking about her role with Addept, Helen added, “I was delighted to be approached by Richard at an early stage in his planning process for the new business and Addept couldn’t be a better fit for my portfolio. I have known Richard for most of his career and have every confidence in him and his commitment to making a success of the new venture, particularly given the added support and depth of experience of the Advisory Board.”
